WHAT'S IN A NAME II

ZECHARIAH 8:1-5

1-2 And then these Messages from God-of-the-Angel-Armies: A Message from God-of-the-Angel-Armies: “I am zealous for Zion—I care! I’m angry about Zion—I’m involved!”

God’s Message:

3 “I’ve come back to Zion, I’ve moved back to Jerusalem. Jerusalem’s new names will be Truth City, and Mountain of God-of-the-Angel-Armies, and Mount Holiness.”

4-5 A Message from God-of-the-Angel-Armies:

“Old men and old women will come back to Jerusalem, sit on benches on the streets and spin tales, move around safely with their canes—a good city to grow old in. And boys and girls will fill the public parks, laughing and playing—a good city to grow up in.”

EVERYONE HAS A PLACE

        BOTH YOUNG AND OLD

A PLACE TO GROW UP — A PLACE TO GROW OLD

OLD - PROMISE OF GOD

JOEL 2:28-29  “And afterward I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams,  your young men will see visions. 29 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

“I HAVE FOUGHT THE GOOD FIGHT, FINISHED THE RACE, KEPT THE FAITH”

YOUNG - PLANS OF GOD

    GOD HAS PLANS

JEREMIAH 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

THE PROMISES OF SCRIPTURE BECOME PERSONAL WHEN WE ARE CONNECTED TO HIS PEOPLE (THRU CHRIST)

TESTIMONY OF FATHER’S PASSION AND FAITHFULNESS

EPHESIANS 2:14-22 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. 19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
