TRUST GOD FOR TOMORROW

 

2 Corinthians 8:10-14 (MSG)  So here’s what I think: The best thing you can do right now is to finish what you started last year and not let those good intentions grow stale.  Your heart’s been in the right place all along. You’ve got what it takes to finish it up, so go to it.  Once the commitment is clear, you do what you can, not what you can’t.  The heart regulates the hands.  This isn’t so others can take it easy while you sweat it out.  No, you’re shoulder to shoulder with them all the way, your surplus matching their deficit, their surplus matching your deficit.  In the end you come out even.

Philippians 3:13-14  Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.  But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press toward the goal… 

We need to - Set Our Face to the Future.

Our future is a Future in God

We are His People – His Children – His Heirs.

1) The Church’s Responsibility                                                                                                          The spiritual level of a nation is determined by the Church – If our nation is getting worse – it is because the Church is doing less

2) Our Promised Destiny

3) God’s Promised to Build His Church

“Pour out His Spirit on all the people on the Southside.”  Joel 2:28 (LMV)

4) Our Hope Is Built on Jesus

5) You Can Trust God for Tomorrow
Human tendency is to trust in God’s instruments of provision, rather than in God Himself.

Proverbs 18:10-11  "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.  The wealth of the rich is their fortified city, and they imagine it to be an un-scalable wall.
